With 30 years of experience in the international hotel industry, Pedro Pinhal has led the operation and opening of renowned resorts in the Mexican Caribbean, building extensive expertise in hotel management, team leadership, and global business development.
Career Highlights
General Director of Seadust Cancún Family Resort (2016–2021), leading the complete resort operation with over 500 rooms.
General Director of Great Parnassus Resort & Spa, Cancún (2002–2014), where he led the construction, pre-opening and launch of the hotel, positioning it as a benchmark in the Hotel Zone.
President of the Promotion Committee of the Cancún Hotel Association (2013), representing the destination at international fairs such as WTM London, ITB Berlin, FITUR Madrid and ABAV São Paulo.
Recognized with international excellence awards: First Choice Client Satisfaction, Thomas Cook Satisfied Traveller, Golden APPLE Award and Forbes recognition.

Our History
Hotel From Scratch was born from a passion for sharing more than three decades of experience in the hotel industry. Pedro Pinhal, with a distinguished career in the administration of world-class resorts in the Mexican Caribbean, identified the need to create an educational program that combined theory and practice in an accessible way.
Since our beginnings, we have dedicated ourselves to training competent professionals, offering practical tools that can be immediately applied in the workplace. We believe that quality education should be accessible to all those who wish to grow in this exciting industry.
